Linden – Mrs. Pearl I. Winger, 94
died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday in Houston House, Crawfordsville. She had been a
resident of the nursing facility five years. She was born in Spencer, Owen
County and had lived in the Linden area 82 years. Her marriage was in 1914 in
Crawforsville to Alva O. Winger. He preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Winger
was a member of Linden United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star,
Chapter 244. She was a charter member of United Methodist Women. Surviving are
one son, Alvin Winger of Linden and two daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Esther) Hamm of
Romney and Mrs. James (Dorothy) Shumate of Crawfordsville.
